Of all the hotels we could have picked from, it was pretty awesome that ours had red and blue dishes! You better believe I used them for our Fourth of July breakfast. We opted for a simple one this year including ready- made orange rolls and fruit. I did bring the plates and napkins. (I couldn’t let my favorite holiday pass by without a little festivity).

This Fourth of July was quite possibly THE BEST one we’ve had. (The only disappointment was the fact that they cancelled the kid’s race that Blake had been talking about for weeks. Luckily, he was quickly over it.) We had no crowds to fight for the parade and found a seat in the shade. We were delighted to see camels and a fire-breathing dragon and many other fun floats. Afterwards, we hit up the town’s block party with free hot dogs and outdoor concert.

There’s nothing like celebrating American Independence Day with mexican food. Back to Taco Cabo we went for lunch. This time, it was open!

We got in another family nap! (the stars were aligned!!) and hit up the pool as a family. My oh my, that Oliver boy is so adorable. I could just eat him up! He really liked the pool, even more so than his older siblings.

For the fireworks, we parked right on Lincoln Avenue and our seats could not have been better. The kids could watch from inside the car (the sound scares them) and snack away on popcorn, while I stood up through the sun roof to catch them in all their glory. We did our own poppers right on the sidewalk beforehand and then had a 10 minute drive home. Again, perfection! We might just have to go back to Steamboat next year.
