Soon after we moved into our house almost 3 years ago (has it been that long?), we discovered the cutest train park right around the corner from our house. It was one of the few places in our new-ish development that had mature trees which meant SHADE! And the mini trains. Talk about impressive. Acres and acres of train track crossing bridges and going through tunnels.
We’ve spent many afternoons there swinging swings, talking dreams, and riding trains. They closed the park down a few weeks ago, so we spent one last afternoon there — with camera in tow, to make some final memories. The Polls were in town, so they came along for the ride.
It was a boys’ dream land and one of our favorite spots to hang out. I’m so sad the S&S Train Park won’t be a part of their childhood anymore.
The hand trains were the hit this time. Evelyn surprised us with her strength and speed on these. They didn’t want to leave.
