We did a few things throughout the month to emphasize gratitude like writing thank you cards and having a special FHE. We usually make thankful turkeys or have a thankful tree, but a few rough weeks put us behind, so a family drawing poster was what we did. We kept it in our dining room the rest of the month. Lots to be thankful for, even during hard times.

Last year I was sick all day, but Thankfully with a capital T no one was sick this year. One of the highlights for me was preparing pies the day before with my dad and Sarah and Mike. Since my Dad still has his cast on, him being stuck at the island provided lots of great talking time that we don’t normally get. And our pies turned out pretty pretty. I’ll always cherish this moment.

And the big turkey day came! We spent the day at the Sundays eating a delicious feast as always and hanging out.

Lots and lots of potatoes and gravy for Brandon! And his beard. I actually really loved it.

Full hearts and bellies!
