Christmas Eve Brunch
We hosted our 2nd (annual?) Christmas Eve brunch with the Kings. We loved getting to see Marilyn & Steve, Ruth, Scott, Nicole, and the Polls who we normally don’t get to see over the holidays.
Growing up we made beignets on Christmas morning, but in efforts to simplify, Brandon and I moved that tradition to Christmas Eve. Because making them takes some effort, so we might as well share the wealth.
This brunch went well into the afternoon. But it was a great kick off to Christmas. Our shopping was all done so we had no where to be but with family.










Christmas Eve Dinner & Traditions
Sarah, Hollie, and Mike put on our annual fancy candlelight Christmas Eve dinner. I took more video than pictures, so stay tuned for our Christmas video! But here are a few photos from the night. The kids acted out the nativity and were darling. Evelyn spontaneously sang “I Am a Child of God” to baby Jesus (Grace) and it melted my momma heart.



Em got the ingredients for magical reindeer food which the kids loved making!


We wrote our letter to Santa, burned it, and spread the ashes for Santa to find. On the drive back to our house, Blake and Evelyn got nervous about Santa coming inside, so insisted we leave the cookies and milk out on the porch for him. That we did. And then off to dream of sugarplums…
