We’re trying to take advantage of all that is around us here in the Sunshine Coast. And there is so much within a short drive–just one of the reasons we chose to stay here in Caloundra.
One morning after Brandon finished up work, we drove to Eumundi to see the famous Eumundi Market. We tried Australian meat peas, crepes, gyros, and pain au chocolate. Markets are made for us foodies. We were full for the rest of the day! We also heard local music artists and saw many hand-crafted arts. This market is a twice-weeekly event, and many locals will come to buy their produce and food here. I can see why. The atmosphere is charming. We’re glad we got to experience it!

^We don’t remember the name of this goodness, but it was just frozen mango, pineapple, and strawberry blended up to make an icy treat. So tasty and refreshing.

^After many HOT days, we were grateful for these big shade trees at the park. Our children became good friends with two little girls from Scotland and their parents invited us to come visit them. We are impressed with how friendly people are here. Strangers inviting us to come stay with them? This isn’t the only time it’s happened.

^Our new Scottish friend’s dad saw Oliver and said, “You’ve had a proper play, ma wee lad.” Haha. Yes, Oliver was digging the dirt (pun intended ) and I was digging the man’s accent and expression.
