Sunday Sunset Silhouettes

February 20, 2017

The night sky is pitch black by 7:00 pm. We learned from our cute, elderly neighbor, Dawn, that Caloundra doesn’t believe in Daylight Savings Time. This has been both a blessing and a curse. The blessing: we are in bed much earlier than we are used to, therefore waking up earlier than normal (usually we are all up by 6 am, but because it’s so light, we usually feel well-rested), the curse: not having as much time to spend outside in the evening.

Last Sunday our evening walk along the Esplenade ended at just the right time to catch the beautiful sunset over Bulcock Beach. Our romantic family moment ended soon when Brandon had to race back 1/3 mile to the bathroom to avoid an Evelyn accident. I’m grateful for the beautiful night sky that God painted for us to enjoy that night.
