Our 2nd annual Black Island Farms “field trip” with our neighborhood friends was another for the books, or blog! We took a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch where we each got to pick a pumpkin. Oliver was nervous of the ride, Evelyn was afraid she would fall off and get too itchy from the plants, and Blake was sitting confidently by himself on the opposite side and kept saying, “mom, this is so much fun. this is the best.”

After picking pumpkins, we picnicked and played on the farm games– giant slides, barrel rides, corn pits, bounce house and animal watching. Naps were skipped and it was a hot day (oops for dressing us all in flannel!) so by the end we were exhausted. But pumpkin patch days with my children are really the best ever.
