We sure love aunt Cathy! Aunt Cathy is Brandon’s aunt and she is a gem. We don’t see her often since she lives in Oregon, but she has a heart of gold.

She never forgets any of our children’s birthdays, our birthdays, and she even remembers our anniversary by sending a card. She’s so, so, so thoughtful!

The other day it was her birthday, so Brandon and the children called her to wish her a happy birthday. Afterwards, Blake said,” Mom, aunt Cathy is like the birthday fairy. She gives us money like the birthday fairy, but she isn’t really the birthday fairy.” I couldn’t stop laughing.

In our house, we leave out our shoes the night before our birthdays and the birthday fairy leaves a quarter for every year old we are, plus one for good luck. Since aunt Cathy also so generously sends the children birthday money, Blake associated her with the birthday fairy. It was rather cute.

We love her and are grateful for her thoughtfulness!

These photos were from a few years ago when we visited Ashland, Oregon in 2015. We’re planning on going back for a visit this July, so it will be fun to see Aunt Cathy and more of the Wilsons, then, too!
