We have a first grader! He’s excited for another year of Spanish immersion and was really excited to take his lunch. He picked out his shirt for the first day, which was a first for both of us. Usually I want to decide, but I decided to let him be a kid and choose what he wanted and this FAST race car shirt was what he wanted. Cool mom? Or maybe just tired mom. Either way, he liked his first day. He told me his teacher told the class that it would take them 3 weeks to get used to first grade but “I am used to it after only one day, mom!”
