Family rule #3: Work Hard. Family rule #4: Play hard. And that’s exactly what we did on Labor Day this year. We worked hard in the yard and house in the morning and then ventured to Provo to play hard the rest of the day.
First stop was Bridal Veil Falls. I remember the “hike” being much longer than it was. But ironically out of all the hikes we’ve done this year, we had a giant meltdown from a girl in our family on the way. Once we got to the water, spirits were much higher and we were all happier. Blake adventured without any fear and Oliver and Evelyn outlasted me in the ice cold water.
Then we went to BYU Campus to show our children around and made a stop at the ESC, where Brandon I fell in love while studying rocks in Geology. Ok, so it wasn’t that easy, but that’s where our friendship began.
Then we spent the evening at Justin and Katie’s celebrating Jonny’s first birthday under the shade of the oak trees in their backyard. Such a great way to end summer.
