10 Year Annniversary Getaway

September 21, 2018

So remember when I went to King’s Peak? I left on the morning on my 10th anniversary. Such a great wife, right? Actually Brandon really pushed me to go since he knew that hiking King’s Peak with my dad has been on my bucket list since I was 13. He didn’t mind that our celebrating would happen a bit late.

He was in charge this year and had planned to take me back East to leaf peep this fall, but the babysitting situation was tricky and the details weren’t coming together. He had the inspiration one Sunday that we should spend our time in the temples since we rarely go together.

My dad watched the older 3 and Brandon’s parents watched Eli and we took off.

We stopped in Brigham City first and found the cutest shop where we found a few fun treasures. We met the nicest lady there who saw my camera on my shoulder, She insisted on showing us a fun wall to get a photo and took it for us. So nice.

Then off to the Temple! It was gorgeous, every little detail so exquisite,  and so peaceful being inside. We got to do some sealings for family names we found.

Then off to Logan! We ate dinner at Le Nonne, a charming Italian restaurant with the best bruschetta and darling outdoor seating area complete with twinkle lights. Brandon knows I have a thing for twinkle lights. I don’t remember the last time I felt so relaxed during a mealtime! Having Brandon all to myself was heavenly.

We stayed at the Anniversary Inn and then did some more sealings at the Logan Temple the next morning. We hit up Pepperidge Farm outlet for some bulk goldfish and cookies and then drove on back to see our babies.
