Friday Night at the Pumpkin Patch

October 20, 2018

Life is flying by these days. I just noticed that the list time I posted was almost a month ago. Just like always, there is much to catch up on here. But tonight I’m sharing some photos from our trip to Pack’s Pumpkin Patch, our favorite, small town pumpkin patch.

We actually didn’t end up buying any pumpkins since we harvested a million from our garden and got some big ones on the train ride we took a few weeks ago, but we couldn’t let Fall slip by without visiting the land of orange and playing in the hay maze. I love these little pumpkins of mine.

Our children saw a hot dog stand there and wanted to get something. B and I have been on a spending fast this week and have had a goal to only buy necessities. So Brandon had the fun idea to create our own hot dog stand at home with food we had. We came back and they cooked up hot dogs, set up a stand complete with soda, chips, cookies, carrots, and labeled everything with prices. We used play money to buy our stuff and had a fun dinner eating around the island. I’m grateful for the reminder that it doesn’t take elaborate things for kids to have fun and be happy. And that a little creativity goes a long way.

I love Eli’s mouth in this one:

And a trip down memory lane: 2017 and 2016:
