Living the Dream in Arches National Park!

June 16, 2019

Last night we got back from a short trip to Moab and Arches National Park! This has been a dream of ours since we were dating! During Spring Break of 2008 (before we were engaged), Brandon went to Moab with his family. When he got back, he photoshopped a picture of me with him in Arches and also showed me a picture he took of a young family hiking. Both the mom and dad were carrying young babies/toddlers on their backs, with a few other children walking alongside. We talked about how we would love that to be us someday…exploring Arches and the outdoors with our kids.

And now 11 years, later, we are living that dream! We packed up our hiking boots and hiking carriers and spent a few days exploring Arches and Moab. Our trip comprised all of our favorite things we love to do on vacation: eat good food, swim, hike, be in nature, and walk the main street.

Moab

After the hot hike to Delicate Arch, we chose to go back to the hotel to take a nap and then swim. After we swimming, we walked from our hotel to dinner on Main Street and found Tow Mater on the way. And then ice cream for dessert on the way back!

And then more of Arches on Day 2! We ran out of time to see Landscape Arch, so that will be our first hike of the next trip! But so many fun memories made!

Sand Dune Arch

And the kid’s favorite was Sand Dune Arch, which doesn’t surprise me since it was my favorite as a child. We brought along sand toys and spent a while there playing!

Until next time, Moab!
