I like to start decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving because the Christmas season is just too short. After I put up our wreaths by the garage, my neighbor and I were joking that all it needed was a bright red door.

And then I thought, “why not?” It’s just paint. Our door has been black, light blue, darker aqua blue and now red. Who knows how long it will stay, but it has made us all smile pretty big this holiday season. It’s been such a fun pop of color. And our neighbor girls even snuck over to get some pictures in front of it for their IG account. Haha.

I painted it one night after the kids were in bed and had it done in 30 minutes. I touched up a bit more the next day and cute Blake made this sign:

Life is too short. Just paint the door red.
