Going to Dugway will be one of those stories I think we will always refer to. Not because it was the happiest time, but actually quite the opposite.
My family invited us to drive to Dugway with them. It’s only 100 miles away, but most of the drive is on dirt roads, so it takes almost 3 hours to get there.
By the time we got there, it was super hot and we weren’t sure how to even find geodes.
Our children were happy since their cousins were there, but we ended up getting in a big argument and it stayed with us for a few days. No fun.
The bright side is that getting into an argument helped B and I discuss some hard things and figure out how to support each other better in situations with our family.
The bad news is we hit a rock on our drive that broke our muffler. So our adventure ended up costing a lot more than the peace in our relationship. It was towed away on my birthday which meant no hiking outings for us that day.
Don’t think we will ever go back to Dugway, but at least we can say we’ve been there, done that.
And now for some photos…
Evelyn totally has her own style and knows how to dress for the occasion.
