When it rains, it pours. Or in other words, when it’s 2020, on adventure brings on another.
After our beautiful peach picking outing just days before, we got warning that a severe wind storm was coming. Like 90 mph winds. Farmington is pretty windy anyway, but this was no joke.
We moved everything from our patio and backyard into the shed. And since we have no wind protection from other houses, we decided to go to a hotel for the night in SLC. Just a few hours later, the power was out at home. We were so glad we were away from the noise!
School was cancelled the next morning. And we still didn’t have power. Emily was so nice to invite us to stay at their new house in Highland for the rest of the day and night if we needed. There was nothing at home for us, so why not? The kids loved playing with their cousins and we did end up staying the night.
The next morning our power was back on. School was cancelled again, so we didn’t rush home. Once we got home, we found all the damage– broken trees, fence gone and garden ruined.
Despite the damage, we’re grateful our pool didn’t get damage and cause flooding!
