First Annual King Tea Party

October 11, 2020

(Read in an English accent.) What a lovely tea party we had due to the wonderful efforts of Sarah. She had promised the little princesses a tea party a few months ago and finally after many fortnights, we were able to gather in our garden for afternoon tea.

Fresh-pressed lemonade and peach sparkling water quenched our thirst, while tarts, brushetta, English scones, truffles, fresh berries, cinnamon pastries, and cookies satisfied our appetites.

Evelyn informed me of a Mr. Stephenson who she had taken a liking to. Unfortunately, they had fallen out of love and he left across the pond for New York City. She said she broke his heart but she was quite pleased to have her cousins Char and Hazel. (I just about died from laughter hearing her account).

These little girls are darling and it was marvelous feeling fancy with them and devoted energy to just conversation and tea. Until next time…
