A trip to Texas would not be complete without seeing where Hollie and her family lived in Lake Jackson, which is about 45 minutes south of Houston. We drove late Saturday night from Austin and pulled in after dark. It was fun to see Hollie’s house and baby Sadie. Emily and I stayed up late working on our Magnolia-inspired wooden bead garland. (Yes, we ordered all the supplies right after we left Waco to be delivered to Hollie’s house so we could make them before we got home.)

The next day, we attended her ward and then she gave us a driving tour of Lake Jackson and we ended at the beach for a nice stroll. We all got a kick out of the street names “this way” and “that way” that actually exist.
