We felt like getting away during December since it was a quieter month than usual. I found a good deal on a condo at Zermatt in Midway, so we surprised our kids with “train tickets” to the Utah Swiss Alps for a few days.
Our first stop was the Snow Globe trot on Park City Main Street. Our favorite blue door (which we stopped by back on our Conference Weekend Trip) was extra festive.
We ate at the Main Street Pizza and Noodle Co. and wouldn’t go back. It was not worth the money. But a fun experience anyway. And then we stopped to grab a caramel apple and rock suckers.
After that we drove to Midway where we stayed the rest of the time. We swam, went ice skating, watched Christmas movies, did Angel Tree shopping and had a Zoom call with our favorite Santa.
To set the record straight, it was not all twinkle lights and wreaths. We had a few minor issues we had to work through, but overall we’re glad we got to get away to make some new Christmas memories.
