Life Currently

February 10, 2021

Here’s what life is like currently. These are the good old days and I don’t want to forget what they’re like.

For the most part, this is what our life is normally like on a weekly basis.

Mondays

  • Blake and Evelyn go to school (they get a ride from Brandon or a neighbor when it’s cold or bike when it’s warm)
  • I try to avoid scheduling appointments and work hard to get the house picked up and cleaned from the weekend and all the laundry washed and sorted. The children put it away after school or sometimes on Tuesdays.
  • Oliver does Upstart and Eli plays
  • 12:00- lunch
  • 1:00- naps and quiet time starts. I love a good nap so if I nap I let Oliver watch a show while Eli and I nap.
  • 3:30- Blake and Evelyn walk home from school
  • Snack and chat- talk about their day
  • Early dinner around 5
  • Evelyn has dance from 6-7. I take her and work at the library or run errands until she is done.
  • Quick baths for kids, scriptures and family prayer.
  • Kids in bed around 7:30, but usually not asleep until 8:30
  • Brandon and I hang out, work, or read

Other Things

  • Besides dance and piano, we don’t have any extra curricular activities right now. It’s nice that way! Between homework, playing with neighbor friends outside, family time, chores, our life stays pretty full.
  • I cut the boy’s hair about once a month.
  • Besides laundry on Mondays, I don’t really have a specific cleaning schedule. I typically wipe down the appliances on Thursdays and mop every other week. I try to fit things in when they are needed. We wash sheets about once a month. Gross? That’s life right now.
  • We’ve been spending lots of time with Em’s family while they live here. We switch off doing overnight babysitting swaps each month. It’s been so fun for everyone!
