For Thanksgiving this year, we flew across the country to spend a week at Mistletoe State Park in Georgia, just 20 minutes away from Kristin and Blaine’s house. It was their turn to plan our family reunion this year, so for 1 year we planned and saved and coordinated to get every single member of The Kingdom over there.
Yes! My dad (plus Pat), all 6 siblings plus all their children were there. We had the best setup. Each family’s cabin was tucked in a private cul-de-sac. It was just us for the week. We had beachfront property which made escaping on pontoon boat rides easy.
The children were in heaven. What could be better than cousins all week, endless outside time to explore, amazing food and fun times.
Kristin planned a fun activity each day including glowstick dance party, fun run, Family History movie night, treasure hunt and a surprise visit from Santa (Michael), stockings to leave notes for each other, a Southern boil for Thanksgiving dinner. There was also lots of world cup watching, snacking, crafting, and let’s not forget the girl’s tea party where Sarah announced to all the nieces that she’s getting married.
Oh, I would do it all over again. Such a great time.
