There’s so many little things I don’t want to forget from this 4th of July. First, how Evelyn begged for a few months to still have our neighborhood bike parade and breakfast. I didn’t know that I wanted to do it, but her excitement for it was contagious and I agreed. I simplified this year and did a 20-foot balloon arch instead of a 30-foot one that spanned our driveway. I like the smaller one better anyways for pictures. Haha.
It was smaller group this year, but everyone that came enjoyed themselves and it just felt good to host again. I’ve missed having people over. As much work as it is to have others over, it also fuels me.
Second, how it was team effort to get everything set up. I’m thankful for help from Brandon and the kids. I also loved how Oliver was adamant about drawing a finish line by the arch for the bikers.
Third, I loved that my children decorated their scooters/bikes/wiggle cars on their own! Evelyn spent a long time on hers while Blake was content after a quick decorating session.
Fourth, Madeline. I found this dress for $10 and I just think she looks like the cutest thing. Her hair is just long enough for me to put in a bow and it gets me every time.
Fifth, it’s always too crazy hosting to get pictures of the actual event, but that’s okay. That’s how it should be.

That is really nice such a great job of decorating. Evelyn looked so adorable in that dress and bow. All the kids decked themselves and their bikes So much fun and memories were made.
